The Tiger Lillies sunt un trio muzical britanic de avangardă, format în 1989 de către Martyn Jacques. Cunoscuți pentru combinația lor unică de cabaret întunecat, punk și elemente de operă, trupa explorează teme macabre și melancolice, evidențiate de falsetul distinctiv al lui Jacques și de acordeonul său. Spectacolele lor teatrale au captivat publicul din întreaga lume.
Au câștigat aprecierea criticilor cu producția scenică „Shockheaded Peter”, obținând două premii Olivier pentru Cel mai bun spectacol de divertisment și Cea mai bună interpretare într-un rol secundar într-un musical. În 2003, au fost nominalizați la Premiile Grammy pentru albumul „The Gorey End”, o colaborare cu Kronos Quartet. The Tiger Lillies are an avant-garde British musical trio, formed in 1989 by Martyn Jacques. Known for their unique blend of dark cabaret, punk, and operatic elements, the band explores macabre and melancholic themes with Jacques' distinctive falsetto and accordion. Their theatrical performances have captivated audiences worldwide.
They gained critical acclaim with the stage production "Shockheaded Peter", winning two Olivier Awards for Best Entertainment and Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. In 2003, they were also nominated for a Grammy Award for their album "The Gorey End", a collaboration with the Kronos Quartet.
