The Raveonettes return to Control Club on Saturday, December 13, marking their first show here in a decade. Hailed as one of the most electrifying rock sensations in recent Danish history, they continue to embody the pulse of the modern new rock revolution.

This year also marks their first new release in eight years — Pe'ahi 2, a follow-up to the hauntingly powerful Pe'ahi, dives deep into themes of fragility, longing, death, and vulnerability.

A Raveonettes show is essential — genre-defying and rich in contrasts. Expect everything from shoegaze stillness to crashing basslines, wrapped in soft, addictive harmonies.

Sune Rose Wagner (guitar and vocals) and Sharin Foo (bass, guitar and vocals) drew inspiration from 1950s American rock'n'roll, 60s girl groups and the surf guitar from California. Back in the Naughts, they were part of the new garage rock movement that featured bands like The Strokes, The Hives and The White Stripes. Their unique contribution was especially Wagner and Foo's 'vocal candy': the sweet boy/girl harmonies that stood in strong contrast to an explosive and dissonant sound.

The Raveonettes have since been a source of inspiration for a large number of bands, and according to NME helped trigger the American pop renaissance that took place in the 10s with bands such as Best Coast, The Drums and Dum Dum Girls who found inspiration in the Raveonettes' classic pop sensibility .

Now, with a new album on the horizon, this show offers a glimpse into the next chapter of The Raveonettes. Get ready for the sound of 2025 — delivered by two artists who never stopped evolving.

At this moment, we do not have any future performances scheduled.
